She became a member of Davis Corner Volunteer Rescue Squad (Station 2) a few years after her mother joined. Once, she had to call for help for her Grandmother who was in respiratory distress. When her squad mates arrived, she was overwhelmed by the care and support they provided.

“That's when I realized that we're all connected, we're all family in this system. They really made me proud to be counted as one of them.”
